1. In Revelation 5, only the Lamb is worthy to take the scroll and open the seals—and in Revelation 6:1, He opens the first seal. What does it mean that Jesus is the One initiating these events, even the rise of deception? How does that shape your view of God's control over the end times?
2. In Revelation 6:2, the rider comes on a white horse with a crown and begins conquering—but without immediate war. What stands out to you about how this conquest begins, and why does deception come before destruction?
3. The first rider looks similar to Christ in Revelation 19 (white horse, authority), but is not Christ. Why is it dangerous when something looks right but isn't? How does that connect to deception in our world today?
4. "They did not receive the love of the truth… so they were given over to the lie." (2 Thess. 2:10–11) What does it mean to love the truth, not just know it—and how does that protect us from deception?
5. "What people are conditioned to believe shapes what they are willing to receive." What influences (culture, media, voices) are shaping how people think about truth today?
6. "If you don't know the Shepherd… you'll follow the imposter." What does it practically look like in your life to stay anchored in the true Christ so you're not led astray?
7. The Antichrist doesn't arrive as a villain—he arrives as a victor (a solution). What is it about the world's desire for peace, unity, and answers that makes people ready to receive him?

Sermon Notes
• Before the world falls apart, it first falls for a lie.

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. — Matthew 24:21
Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, "Come and see." — Revelation 6:1

• The same Jesus who spelled out the end of the age is the same Jesus who brings the age to its end.
And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. — Revelation 6:2
• Antichrist = opposing Christ or posing as Christ.
• Opposing → heavy handed opposition
• Posing → sleight of hand deception
• Social conditioning leads to spiritual conforming.
For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. — 1 Thessalonians 5:3
• A world reaching for peace without Christ becomes ready to receive a counterfeit Christ.
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. — 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie. — 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11
• "Strong delusion" is thinking you're informed by the truth, while being formed by the lie.
