Joel & Alexandria Aponte

Every year, 12,000 college students from across the United States and more than 60 countries participate in the Walt Disney World College Program internship. Many American students are Christians who desire to see Jesus lifted high at Disney, while many international students come with a strong interest in learning more about Christianity.

Whether discipling students to multiply their faith or sharing the Gospel with those hearing it for the first time, the vision is to reach the world through Disney with the Gospel. This mission is carried out in three primary ways:

WINNING: Equipping this generation of students to reach their own generation with relevant tools and strategies for evangelism.

BUILDING: Discipling students to be both hearers and doers of the Word, while training them through leadership development.

SENDING: Mobilizing students through opportunities to participate in missions beyond Disney, both domestically and overseas.

Joel and Alex are New Jersey natives who met through their shared passion to see the nations encounter Jesus. Both served on several university campuses in New Jersey, witnessing Christ-centered movements grow throughout the state.

After getting married in 2019, they were invited into a one-year leadership development program at Cru’s headquarters in Orlando. There, God called them to join a team whose passion for reaching the world aligned with their own.

With the world coming to Disney, the Cru at Walt Disney World team strives to ensure that every student involved in the Disney College Program knows someone who knows Jesus.
