Psalm 37: Evil Is Winning... Or Is It? | Matthew Maher | Landmark Church
Psalm 37 answers one of the oldest questions believers wrestle with: Why do the wicked seem to prosper while the righteous struggle? In this teaching, we walk through David’s wisdom as he contrasts two completely different ways of living: the way of the wicked and the way of the righteous. The wicked may appear powerful, wealthy, and successful for a moment, but their influence is temporary. The righteous, though often overlooked or opposed, are upheld by the Lord and ultimately inherit what God has promised. David shows us that God’s economy operates differently than the world’s. What the world measures by riches, power, and control, God measures by righteousness, trust, and faithfulness. If you’ve ever been discouraged by the apparent success of evil or wondered how believers should respond when injustice seems to prevail, Psalm 37 gives a clear answer: Do not fret. Trust the Lord. The end of the righteous is peace. “The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble.” — Psalm 37:39 Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons.
