Psalm 23 (Part 1): Trusting The Shepherd In A World of Wolves

April 2, 2025

Psalm 23 isn’t just poetic — it’s potent. These words are not just for memory but for intimacy.

Psalm 23:1

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

To be near the Shepherd is to not only hear His voice, but to adhere to His voice.

Psalm 23:1

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Trusting in the Lord doesn’t mean everything will happen the way you want, but that you will not be “in want” no matter what happens.

Psalm 23:2

He makes me to lie down in green pastures…

The grass isn’t greener on the other side. The grass is greener where the Lord resides.

Psalm 23:2

He leads me beside the still waters.

Psalm 23:3

He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Psalm 23:3

He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Righteous paths may be hard to travel, but they’re always easy to trust.
