Psalm 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me…

“I will not fear because the Shepherd is near.”

When the Son is before you, the shadow is behind you.

Psalm 23:4

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

If God allows pain to touch your life, it’s because He wants you to use it to touch His life.

Psalm 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…

The table is not the absence of enemies — it’s the presence of the Shepherd.

You anoint my head with oil…

Spiritual maturity isn’t measured by you getting more of the Holy Spirit, but rather the Holy Spirit getting more of you.

My cup runs over.

Psalm 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

God loves us where we are, but His love doesn’t leave us the way we are.
