Proverbs 22:29

John Piper …The Pleasures of God
Three things stand in the way of our complete satisfaction in this world.
One is that nothing has a personal worth great enough to meet the deepest longings of our hearts.
Another is that we lack the strength to savor the best treasures to their maximum worth.
And the third obstacle to complete satisfaction is that our joys here come to an end. Nothing lasts.
Diligence will allow you to experience ever increasing success
Proverbs 13:11
“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished but he that gathers by labor shall increase”
Diligence will make your efforts profitable
Proverbs 14:23
“In all labor there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.”
Jim Rohn: (Paraphrase)
In the end our lives will not be judged by what we started or by what we said that we would do, but by the things that our effort and resolve brought to a successful conclusion.
Who am I around?
What effect are they having?
Is that acceptable?
Saint Francis of Assisi
“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”
