Hebrews 2:1

1 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

Proverbs 2:6-11

For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
8 Guarding the paths of justice,
And He watches over the way of His godly ones.
9 Then you will discern righteousness, justice,
And integrity, and every good path.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
And knowledge will be delightful to your soul;
11 Discretion will watch over you,
Understanding will guard you,
12 To rescue you from the way of evil,
From a person who speaks perverse things;

Proverbs 2:6

For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Dr. D. Edmund Hiebert
“God gives with a single motive: to further the welfare of the asker. He gives without ulterior motives, harboring no calculated desire to get something in return… He gives to all wholeheartedly and with singleness of purpose, and He also gives with a wealth of liberality.”

Proverbs 2:7-8

7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
8 Guarding the paths of justice,
And He watches over the way of His godly ones.

Jeremiah 18:15

For My people have forgotten Me,
They burn incense to worthless gods
And they have stumbled from their ways,
From the ancient paths,
To walk in bypaths,
Not on a highway,

Proverbs 2:9

9 Then you will discern righteousness, justice,
And integrity, and every good path.

Proverbs 2:10-12

10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
And knowledge will be delightful to your soul;
11 Discretion will watch over you,
Understanding will guard you,
12 To rescue you from the way of evil,
From a person who speaks perverse things;

Proverbs 2:12-18

To rescue you from the way of evil,
From a person who speaks perverse things;
From those who leave the paths of uprightness
To walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who delight in doing evil
And rejoice in the perversity of evil;
15 Whose paths are crooked,
And who are devious in their ways;
16 To rescue you from the strange woman,
From the foreign woman who flatters with her words,
17 Who leaves the companion of her youth
And forgets the covenant of her God;
18 For her house sinks down to death,
And her tracks lead to the [b]dead;

God is active… intentional …and Protective of our walk.

Romans 1:32

“and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”

Proverbs 2:19-22

None who go to her return,
Nor do they reach the paths of life.
20 So you will walk in the way of good people
And keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright will live in the land,
And the blameless will remain in it;
22 But the wicked will be eliminated from the land,
And the treacherous will be torn away from it.

Matthew 7:13,14

“Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads
to life, and few are those who find it.”

Proverbs 2:22

22 But the wicked will be eliminated from the land,
And the treacherous will be torn away from it.
