After The Lie Comes The Loss (Seals 2-4: The Red, Black, & Pale Horse) | Revelation 6:3-8 | Matthew Maher
The first horse brought deception. Now the consequences ride. In this message we open the next three seals of Revelation 6 and follow the red, black, and pale horses as they unleash war, famine, and death on a Christ-rejecting world. This is not random chaos — this is divine consequence. Seal by seal. Horse by horse. In order. In consequence. What the white horse promised, the red horse removes. What the red horse destroys, the black horse starves. What the black horse starves, the pale horse buries. And following behind the pale horse — Hades. A world that rejected the fullness of God will be famished without God. But there is hope. Because the same Lamb opening these seals holds the keys to Death and Hades. And what belongs to Him — no horse can take. In this sermon: • The red horse and the removal of peace — Revelation 6:3-4 • The black horse and engineered scarcity — Revelation 6:5-6 • The pale horse, Death, and Hades — Revelation 6:7-8 • The Greek word toxon — bow, poison, and God's covenant rainbow • Why judgment is sequential, not random • The only peace that cannot be taken — Romans 5:1, Colossians 1:20 • Christ holds the keys — Revelation 1:18 Scriptures referenced: Revelation 6:3-8 | Revelation 1:18 | Romans 5:1 | Colossians 1:20 | Daniel 9:27 | 1 Thessalonians 5:3 | Ezekiel 14:21 | Revelation 12:3 | John 6:35 Deception opens the door. War walks in. Famine empties the table. And death clears the room. But Christ holds the keys.
