Signs of the Times: WHO GETS THE FINAL WORD? | Why a Biblical Worldview Matters | Matthew Maher
We are living in a time when almost everything is being questioned. What is truth? What is a man or woman? What is marriage? When does life begin? What determines right and wrong? Who defines our identity? Behind every answer is something deeper: a worldview. In this Signs of the Times message, Pastor Matthew Maher examines why a biblical worldview matters and how the voices of culture—media, entertainment, education, politics, algorithms, and more—are constantly shaping the way we think. A recent American Worldview Inventory found that only 4% of American adults met the study’s criteria for a biblical worldview, falling to 2% among Millennials and 1% among adult Gen Z. But the challenge isn’t merely to point at the culture. Romans 12:2 was written to believers: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” The question every Christian must confront is this: When God’s Word contradicts my feelings, experiences, politics, preferences, assumptions, or desires—who gets the final word? “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” — John 17:17 Be sure to subscribe to the Landmark Church YouTube Channel and wherever you access podcasts to stay updated on all upcoming sermons.
