When The Word Consumes You (The Mystery of God) | Revelation 10:1-11 [#30] | Matthew Maher
Revelation 10 pauses the trumpet judgments and pulls back the curtain on the unfolding mystery of God. From Genesis to Revelation, God's promises, covenants, redemption, the church, Israel, and the coming Kingdom are not disconnected stories—they are pieces of one divine plan moving toward fulfillment in Jesus Christ. John is then commanded to take the little book and eat it. It is sweet in his mouth but bitter in his stomach—a powerful picture of the prophetic Word of God. Scripture comforts us, confronts us, and sometimes costs us. The Word must get into us before it can faithfully come out of us. Don't just consume the Word. Let it consume you—and then carry it to the world.
