Gene Wilkins
Pastor
PG (Gene) has faithfully served the Lord in pastoral ministry for 66 years across multiple communities of faith. He began attending Landmark in 2017 after several years as pastor of Ventnor Community Church and was later invited to join the staff.
While still serving in Ventnor, Gene began attending Thursday evening services and later the Saturday Men in Service gatherings. Through those relationships, several of the men helped restore damage to the church facility following Hurricane Sandy. Their care, faithfulness, and Christlike witness deeply impacted him and drew him more fully into the life and ministry of Landmark.
Gene especially values the commitment and dedication of Landmark’s leadership and staff. He is grateful for the transparency and integrity of the pastors and elders and treasures the many opportunities he has to share the Word, lead in prayer, and mentor believers of every age.
What matters most to him is the joy of serving alongside others in ministry and experiencing the grace that continues to be poured out on his life and family.
Outside of church life, Gene enjoys spending time with Suzanne and their family, embracing their role as grandparents and great-grandparents, and encouraging their children as they faithfully walk with the Lord. He also values opportunities to share God’s Word in other communities of faith. As he celebrates his 89th year, Gene remains deeply grateful for the health God has given him, the passion to serve sustained by His grace, and the privilege of being part of a healthy, fruitful church.
