Sermon Notes
Psalm 24:1-2
The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.
If God made it, He owns it. If He owns it, He rules it. If He rules it, then it must follow His rules.
Psalm 24:3
Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?
You don’t climb to become king of the hill—you get clean to approach the King on the Hill.
Psalm 24:4
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.
Jesus is the only way God paved, the only truth God gave, and the only life God saved.
Psalm 24:5-6
He shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah
The Gospel is seeker sensitive, not that it changes to reach people but that it reaches people it changes.
Psalm 24:7-8
Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Psalm 24:9-10
Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah
The King of glory is not coming to converse, He is coming to conquer.
