1. Revelation 6:12–14 describes earthquakes, a darkened sun, a blood-red moon, and the sky receding like a scroll. Why do you think Scripture uses creation itself to communicate God's judgment and power?
2. The sermon described Revelation 6 as "de-creation language." How does comparing Genesis 1 with Revelation 6 deepen your understanding of what is happening in the sixth seal?
3. In Revelation 6:15, every class of humanity—from kings to slaves—responds the same way in judgment. What does this reveal about the limits of power, wealth, status, and human security?
4. The people in Revelation 6 do not ask for forgiveness—they ask to be hidden. Why is that significant? What does it reveal about the human heart apart from repentance?
5. The sermon contrasted two responses to Jesus: "Those in Christ seek His face. Those who reject Him flee His face." How does a person's relationship with Christ determine whether His presence is comforting or terrifying?
6. Revelation 6:16 speaks of "the wrath of the Lamb." Why is that phrase so shocking? How does it reveal both the mercy and justice of Jesus Christ?
7. Hebrews 12:27–28 says that everything that can be shaken will be shaken so that what cannot be shaken may remain. What are people tempted to build their lives upon that ultimately cannot stand?
8. Revelation ends the sixth seal with the question: "Who is able to stand?" According to the sermon and Scripture, how is that question ultimately answered?

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. — Revelation 6:12-14
• The lights He turned on in Genesis are now being turned off in Revelation.
Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years. — Genesis 1:14
• The more we reject the Creator, the more undone creation becomes.
And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains… — Revelation 6:15
• Status means nothing in the presence of Jesus.
And said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! — Revelation 6:16
• It's not that they didn't know. They knew and still said no.
• Those in Christ seek His face. Those who reject Him flee His face.
For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?" — Revelation 6:17
