Kathryn Krick Declared a Woman Healed of Cancer. But Was She? | Truth Over Trend with Matthew Maher

Kathryn Krick publicly declared that a woman with cancer would “live and not die.” But when Tamron Hall asked whether she followed up with the woman and knew what happened, the answer raised serious questions. In this Truth Over Trend response, Pastor Matthew Maher examines Kathryn Krick's claims of supernatural healing, the authority behind prophetic declarations, and the biblical difference between praying for healing and proclaiming healing as a certainty. God can heal. But faith in God's power is not permission to speak with an authority He hasn't given us. Romans 4:17 describes God as the One who calls things that do not exist as though they did. It does not give us authority to declare whatever outcome we desire. You cannot claim the authority of God when making the declaration and then retreat to the sovereignty of God when asked to substantiate it. This is not an argument against prayer, miracles, or divine healing. It is a call for biblical discernment, accountability, and compassion for vulnerable people seeking hope.
