Can You Buy Deliverance? | Responding to "Apostle" Kathryn Crick | Truth Over Trend w/ Matthew Maher

Can God's power be unlocked with money? In this episode of Truth Over Trend, Pastor Matthew Maher responds to a clip from "Apostle" Katherine Crick in which a desperate mother is encouraged to "sow a seed" while her son lies on the ground in need of deliverance. This isn't a discussion about whether God still heals or delivers. I believe He does. This is about whether Scripture teaches that a financial offering is a "key" to receiving God's power. Jesus never told people to pay before He healed them. He never attached a price tag to deliverance. He never turned God's power into a transaction. Instead, when the disciples were unable to cast out a demon, Jesus said: "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting." (Mark 9:29) Peter also warned the church: "By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words..." (2 Peter 2:3) As Christians, we are commanded to test every teaching by the Word of God. The question isn't whether something appears spiritual or supernatural. The question is whether it is biblical. Truth must always triumph over trend.
